If using Google Maps to find more information, using "XYZ Croquet Club" will work for all clubs except (possibly) Paraparaumu. You may need to enter "Paraparaumu Croquet Club, Mazengarb" to get the correct map marker.
Google Maps may also show the wrong phone number for the Waikanae Clubhouse. The correct number is 64 21 0875 6874 (021 0875 6874).
If travelling by car to Paraparaumu or Waikanae, there is a new freeway available. Depending on your GPS it may or may not show the freeway. Either will get you to the right place and the time taken will not be much different.
General Information for Players and Spectators at all Venues
Catering
Tea, coffee and water will be available throughout the day at every club. Food will be available for purchase with cash – please allow up to $NZ20 per day for this. Clubs do not have eftpos facilities and there are no ATMs nearby.
Non-smoking
New Zealand law forbids smoking at sports clubs. All the croquet clubs are smoke-free, indoors and out.
Health and Safety
Under New Zealand law, a volunteer organisation such as a sports club must do what is reasonably practicable, and what is within its control or influence, to ensure safety of persons. However, all club members and visitors should remember that safety is primarily the concern of the individual. It’s up to you to take care of yourself and those around you.
Lost Property
Lost property will be held at the club where it is found until close of play on Saturday 10th when it will be transferred to the tournament HQ at Kelburn. The clubs accept no responsibility for money or personal belongings of guests left on club premises.
Memorabilia for sale
Memorabilia will be available for purchase with cash at the Kelburn Headquarters. The items for sale are caps, event pins and souvenir coasters.
