We welcome all new riders to the Tauranga BMX Club.

For safety, it is essential you wear long sleeves, long pants, helmet, gloves and closed in shoes when riding the BMX track.
A full face helmet is needed to start at the top of the ramp.

Always ride the track in the correct direction.

New riders should start riding from halfway down the ramp (a small white line is painted), once you are confident, move up the ramp.

Bikes should be in good order, with no pegs or stands attached.

We encourage riders to come along to our club racing nights (during summer) or sunday afternoons (during winter).  Your first 3 goes are free.

Riders race in age groups, starting with 5 years and under, all the way through to the Male and Female Cruisers (the Mums & Dads).

Each age group is called to the start area, you then need to listen for your name and what lane you will be riding in (parents are welcome to help littlies on the gate and around the track).

The race starts when the gate drops, riders then complete the track, and line up at the points hut at the end of the race.  We run five rounds during club nights (each rider gets five races).
