Ashburton AREA ESNZ Show Jumping & Show Hunter Group

2014/15 MEMBERSHIP & REGISTRATION major changes have been made to membership requirements and horse registrations from this season. These changes will affect everyone whether you are competing at Grand Prix level or Training, please make sure you are compliant before entries are due - don't leave it until the last minute.  The highlights - for full details go to the ESNZ website http://www.nzequestian.org.nz/

COMPULSORY for all riders:-
  • Every competitor who rides at an ESNZ show (eg Labour Weekend) is now required to be registered.  This applies to training class riders through to Grand Prix riders. 
  • If you jump above 80cm (horse or pony) you will need to have a FULL membership $60 (payable to ESNZ).  Your first year membership is free PROVIDED you are not a returning rider ie you have never been an ESNZ member in the past. In addition, one parent or caregiver of any full member under the age of 18 years old, must be a community member (free membership)
  • If you jump 80cm or below (introductory/training horse or pony) you are required to become a community member before you can compete at any ESNZ showjumping/showhunter event.  There is no charge for Community membership.  This is done through ESNZ who will issue you with a membership number which you will need to enter a show.
COMPULSORY for all horses
  • Every horse or pony competing at an ESNZ show (for SJ and/or SH) must pay a $5 Jumping/Show Hunter levy per show with their entries.
OPTIONS for horse/pony registration: You can either:
  • Pay an annual horse/pony registration $65 to ESNZ 
  • Pay a casual registration $5/show with your entries which the organising show will pass on to ESNZ
If you pay an annual registration you can either:
  • Pay an annual jumping/show hunter start fee ($85 Horse/ $55 pony) to ESNZ.  This will allow you to compete in all series and non series classes of any height in jumping and/or show hunter. 
  • Pay a Jumping/Show Hunter Flexi Start fee ($10 per day) with your entries which the organising show will pass on to ESNZ.  This will allow you to compete in Jumping and/or Show Hunter at any height BUT excludes series classes (SJ and SH).  This deal includes Low Hunter and HOY qualifying classes but EXCLUDES competing at HOY, Island Championships or National Championships.
If you pay casual registration you can
  • Pay a Jumping/Show Hunter Flexi Start fee ($10 per day) with your entries which the organising show will pass on to ESNZ.  This will allow you to compete in Jumping and/or Show Hunter at any height BUT excludes series classes (SJ or SH).  This deal includes Low Hunter and HOY qualifying classes but EXCLUDES competing at HOY, Island Championships and National Championships.
  • Enter Introductory /Training Classes which are defined as 80cm and below. 
Introductory/Training Classes  (80cm & below) - to enter these classes at a show you will need to be a community member, pay the $5 per horse or pony SJ/SH Levy and the class entry fees - plus ground fees, admin etc
