The club would like to acknowledge the passing of the following members for the season 2009 - 2010.
Phyl Hill a former golf croquet playing member.
Carolyn Gibson, a former golf croquet member of the club passed away in August 2009.
Ivan Bennett, a keen golf croquet member for two years, passed away in September 2009.
Graham McCleary a golf croquet member passed away in April 2010.
Stuart McRae a member from 1993, passed away May 2010. see separate page.
Janet Whiteley. died in Wanganui on 16th July 2010.
Janet was a former committee member and club captain at the Ashbury Croquet Club, she also served on the Croquet South Canterbury Executive.
Sia Brinkman, died March 10th 2011.
Sia transferred to the Ashbury Club when the Timaru club was closed down in 2001.
Cia was an enthusiastic player and thoroughly enjoyed playing at club level, flag matches and in the South Canterbury Association tournaments.
Ethel Braddick, died 11th July 2011, aged 95.
Ethel was a member of the club for 20+ years. She was a committee member and a great supporter of the club during her membership years.
Peter Keys, died 16th September 2011, in his 86th year.
Peter was a very enthusiastic member of the Ashbury Club over a number of years. He joined in the early 1990's had a break away from the club and then came back and played the last five years. Peter spent many hours practising and was a formidable opponent in handicap games. He had a delightful sense of humour and was a mine of information on almost any subject.
