Brooklyn cricket club has been playing cricket in Wellington since 1912. The club was founded by local residents and has included Chief Scientists, Members of Parliament, local ministers, butchers, labourers amongst others.

Today Brooklyn cricket club fields five teams across 3 formats, supports a strong junior club (20 teams), and concentrates on cricket for all.
