ATHLETICS / KAIAKA

Athletics has no weekly competition, rather there is a handful of events throughout the year that students can participate in.  If you place in the top 3 in the school athletics (held February), you should register to represent the school at the Canterbury Athletics Champs.  If you would like athletics taining, you should consider joining a local athletics club.

COST
There will be a charge for entry for each event.   The events outside of Canterbury will incur costs dependent on each event and its location.

EQUIPMENT
Students will wear a Cashmere top to compete in and need to wear their own plain black shorts. Students are recommended to have a pair of spikes or throwing shoes, but these are not a requirement of participation.

TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
School will provide transport by either bus or van to and from the venue for the local events that are held on school days. Other travel arrangements will be made for events outside of Canterbury.

Students are expected to travel with school for all events running on school days.
