Welcome to Cashmere Rugby for 2024!
Kia ora koutou and welcome to Cashmere Rugby for 2024. We are all excited about the season ahead and I extend a warm welcome to all new players joining the program and look forward to seeing our familiar faces on the field again soon.
We are aiming to develop a strong rugby program here at Cashmere and it continues to grow every year. The aims of the programme focus on development and fun to ensure all players involved continue to play the game year after year. Throughout the season we are looking to have a number of opportunities for players and parents to get involved with to build connections and a great environment.
We are also lucky to have a great relationship with the Sydenham Rugby Club, with the majority of our players coming up through the junior grades at Sydenham, playing for Cashmere, then returning to Sydenham after they have finished school. This support includes administration, training grounds, coach development as well as hosting teams at the Cashmere Club during the season. Key Dates:
April 19th / 21st - Y10 (U15) Team entered in tournament with local and international teams.
May 4th - Grading games begin for Teenage grades, 1st XV preseason game vs Hillmorton
May 18th - 1st XV Season Begins
