SQUASH / POIPĀTŪ

Squash is organised by School Sport Canterbury with games against other secondary schools.  These are held on Wednesday afternoons at school and club courts throughout Christchurch.  Games start at 3:15pm.  

Players will need to arrange their own transport to the venues.  

Players will be issued with a Cashmere sports top that they should wear with plain black shorts or skirt. 

Rackets provided if needed or you may bring your own. Players must also wear protective eyewear which can also be provided.

Each team consists of 3 players.

@Squash HQ located at 8 Takaro Avenue, Sockburn

This tournament is open to all level of players. Players will be placed into draws of similar grade players from other schools in Canterbury.

South Island Secondary Schools Tournament (Team event)

Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 of June 2024
Christchurch

A team will comprise of 3 female or 3 male players.  Multiple teams can be selected for this tournament i.e an A grade team and a B or developing grade team.

Team selection will be based on entry in the School Winter Sports Competition, and/or performance in the Canterbury Squash Competition.  To be considered for selection for these teams please contact Mrs Lightfoot in the Sports Office

New Zealand Secondary Schools Tournament (Team event)

Monday 2nd to Thursday 5th of September 2024. 
@Porirua, Wellington

A team will comprise of 5 female or 5 male players.  Teams often consist of both high grade and lower grade players / developing players. Another great opportunity to represent school in Squash.

Team selection will be based on entry in the School Winter Sports Competition, and/or performance in the Canterbury Squash Competition.  To be considered for selection for these teams please contact Mrs Lightfoot in the Sports Office
