Eastern Kaiwaka Rugby Club

Welcome to Eastern United JMB (Kaiwaka)

Located in Kaiwaka in between Warkworth and Whangarei, we offer a great platform for young kids to be able to learn and develop their rugby skills. We are a commuinity driven club, offering opportunities for young kids as well as for parents to become involved within our communty.

Children of all levels and ability are welcome- both Boys and Girls. Parents are encouraged, if possible to become involved in their childrens rugby, Coaching, Managing and helping host on Rally Days.

Information

Eastern United JMB field Under 7s, Under 9s and Under 11s rugby teams in the Rodney Otamatea competition which runs over the winter season.

Under 7s play Ripper rugby. Under 9/11s play tackle with small black rules applied. The emphasis is put on children having fun, learning ball handling skills and enjoying being part of a team.

Matches are held Saturday mornings or Friday nights at Kaiwaka Sports Association (KSA) for a home game, or Away at either Tomarata, Wellsford or Maungaturoto. Aftermatches follow games, where Player of the day's are awarded, team speaches and all teams share a kai/feed.

Uniforms will be provided. Children can play in black shorts and black socks. They will need boots and a mouthguard.

The season is followed by prizegiving and an end of season celebration.

Fees

The following fees apply for the 2024 season:

$50 per child - Includes fees and team photo.

If you would like to organise a payment plan or need support to pay fees then please get in touch, our main priority is getting kids playing rugby and the club will do everything we can to support this.
