Steve and Anne Corkran seized the opportunity to expand and in February 2016, established their own niche in the Feilding Market. Their 10-acre block in Tokomaru, is spray free and product differs from existing stallholders. Product includes oyster mushrooms, microgreens, culinary herbs, baby vegetables, 3 types of ginger, turmeric, a range of chillies from the hottest (Ghost Chilli to Cayenne). They recently added yacon to their range. Known as ground apple, from the sun flower family, it looks like a kumara but tastes like a nashi pear. Anne makes her own sauces, jams and chutney/relish. Now the produce from their heritage tree orchard is being bottled for the Market. Their sauces recently placed second and third at the Sydney’s Mister Chilli competition.
