FENCING / whakataetae hoari 

Fencing is held on Friday afternoons from 3:45 to 5pm at the Fencing Institute on Jack Hinton Drive.  Instruction is mainly in Foil, though Epee and Sabre are also offered.

Our coaches are Kate Brill  (Master of Arms, Olympic, Junior Olympic & Commonwealth Coach), and Martin Brill (Olympic Men's Epee finalist, Master of Arms, Olympic & Commonwealth Coach)

Fencing equipment is provided (jacket & underjacket, mask, foil)

Cost:   $90 per term for coaching and equipment hire and an additional fencing membership fee of $80 for competitive membership.

Payment will be arranged with Kate Brill and paid directly to her. Please do not pay to school. 

Equipment: Trackpants or stretch pants covering the whole leg, light long-sleeved shirt for beginners, Cashmere sports top or singlet/collarless t-shirt for 2nd years plus.  Flat soled sneakers or sports shoes, (indoor if you have them). No black soled shoes (eg school shoes).  Named drink bottle. Please name all clothing items - makes it simple to return them when left behind.

Dates: Every Friday during term starting 9th February.  

Students must make their own way to the Fencing Institute. ​​​​​​​
