Geraldine Kiwisport  has been set up to provide a liason partnership between local schools and sporting clubs. The four schools involved in the Geraldine Kiwsiport Programme are:

• Carew Peel Forest School
• Geraldine Primary School
• Waihi School
• Woodbury School

The Kiwisport Coordinator role has been established to provide year 4-6 students from these schools with more sporting opportunities with the support of Geraldine Combined Sports Inc and Sport Canterbury. 

This is achieved by providing sports skills sessions in the schools, organising lunch and after school physical activities, supporting local sports clubs to arrange activities and holding events and competitions.

The ultimate aim is to increase sporting confidence in these children and encourage them to get invloved in club sport.
