Another comprehensive victory by the Bayleys Real Estate Premiers on the weekend as they annihilated NOBM by 154 runs. After batting first the mighty village totalled a mammoth 272/7 with outstanding batsmen Brad Schmulian compiling a dominant score of 159no, his first (and definitely not last) century for the village. Brad has simply been a revelation since he arrived from Auckland with his work ethic at training and results on the park providing invaluable insight to all our young cricketers in what is required to become successful player at all levels. We can only hope as a club that Brad can realise his goal of becoming a first class cricketer before the season is out, he totally deserves it!! Kurt Richards starred with the ball claiming 3 -18. This puts us at the top of the table lads, let’s keep building.

The Bayleys Real Estate Seniors also had a tight fought victory over our future club members at HNHS. After restricting HNHS to 119 with Basil Sykes (2 – 2), Mickey Stirling (2 – 10) and debutant Tom Caveney (3 -15) doing the damage with the ball before Dave Castle (46) finished the job with the bat as we won by 3 wickets. 2 wins from 2 for this team so Great stuff.

The Parker Earthmover 3rds lost by 3 wickets to Eskview with Ben Revell (3 – 11) starring with the ball.

HNCC Women’s vs Cornwall Cricket Club at Anderson Park on Friday night from 5.30pm.

The Clubrooms will be open both Friday and Saturday nights this week from 5.00pm for the Women’s and Seniors games with the Bar open and a free BBQ with the Village Butcher Sausages.
