Who is Kiwi Swim Club Inc?
Kiwi Swim Club has been in existence for nearly 100 years. It is run by volunteers and its members comprise swimmers at all levels, coaches and officials.  A family-friendly club, Kiwi welcomes all school-age swimmers from the beginner learn to swim level through to a national competitive level.

Club Night Kiwi Swimmers

New swimmers are assessed, then allocated a lane in either the Learners Pool or the Main Pool alongside others of a similar swimming level. Swimmers continue to be assessed periodically during the year with swimmers changing lanes as they make progress.

  • Club Squad: this squad consists of up to 24 swimmers aged between 8-14 years, who have reached a certain level in their swimming and wish to improve their technique and many squad swimmers choose to enter swim meets and progress into regular competitive swimming but there is no obligation to do so. Swimmers are invited to join the squad, which trains on the club night in the deep end of the Main Pool from 6.15 – 7.15pm.
  • Additional training: Deep end main pool swimmers also have the opportunity to come along to a Thursday 6:15-7:15 session with our club squad coach. If a swimmer wants additional training or training at a higher level than the Development Squad, then they will also need to become part of the Dunedin Swim Coaching Board ( Swim Dunedin ) structure.
  • Competitive swimmers training with Swim Dunedin do not attend regular club nights but are welcome to join in on ribbon nights and all club activities.
