Kimura Shukokai New Zealand

July 2014 a six man team attended the KSI World Tournament at a Sun City , South Africa. It was a great event with big draws, over 80 in men's kata, Senseis Joe  & Max both lost fighting for a place in the medals while in the veterans division Senseis Jonathan & Lawrence both won bronze medals in kata & kumite respectively. South Africa were great hosts and it was a memorable trip with an African Safari added on the end.

In July 2012 a five man team of Senseis Jonathan, Lawrence, Max, Joe & Viv represented KSI New Zealand at the KSI World Tournament in Atlantic City.

Sensei Joe showed Patience & determination to overcome major travel woes and once we all assembled in New Jersey under the watchful eye of our amazing hosts Shihan Bill, Jonathan and team we had a fantastic time.

The gashuku the day before was epic! No holding back with a really physical session in a packed venue.

The venue at the Trump Taj Mahal was superb with six rings running flat out for 2 days with finals on day three. The standard was inspiring and although no medals were won everyone was competitive and now know what they need next time!

Our thanks to Shihan Bill and Team USA for a great event which ran seamlessly.
