Welcome to 2018's Room 13!

I love teaching at Lucknow School, and I absolutely love working in Room 13. We laugh, we learn, and we push ourselves to new levels. We are risk takers, creative and critical thinkers, and collaborators.

We have only just begun our journey together. Sometimes it takes a little while to love a new adventure, and sometimes it is immediate love. I do hope that you share the ups and downs of our adventure with us, and let me know how the journey is going for you!

In Room 13 we share our journey with our families on the Seesaw app. Please contact me, or discuss this with your child - we will be up and running with this in Week 3.

Please do not hesitate to contact me.

Camp Tutira

Monday Feb 19th to Wednesday 21st

In Room 13 we often talk about a pit - I call it the pit of despair. But James Nottingham calls it the Pit of Challenge. In Room 13 we help one another out of the pit by throwing blueberries (discussing, questioning, and challenging each other). We don't throw a rope down when people are struggling, because they will never learn to get out of the pit on their own.

Some learners may not always come out of the pit, but the next time they are in it they might perservere more, or engage more deeply in  their thinking.
