Welcome to a new season of Netball at Mt Albert Primary School. Let's continue to build upon our development and successes from last year. Welcome to our new players. We look forward to seeing you all out on the courts each week having a go and enjoying netball.

CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Respect others at all times.
  • Be fair and honest at all times.
  • Be responsible for your own actions.
  • Do not abuse others verbally or physically.
  • Do not discriminate against others.
  • Be safety conscious for yourself and others at all times.
  • Be a positive role model.

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR

  • Violence in any form.
  • Assault by any member or spectator on another person.
  • Verbal abuse by any member or spectator towards any other member or spectator

Game Day App: Year 5 & 6 only

Please remember for all teams Year 5&6 upwards we score using the Auckland Netball Game Day app.

If you missed the webinar on how this works please watch the video link below. It is important that each team has got their unique team code from SPORTY to give out to your netball community so that there is always someone available on the day to score via the app. Remember to stand side by side with the other scorer from the other team.

Coaching, Umpiring and Player Development

Auckland Netball offer a huge range of programmes to support and develop  players, coaches and umpires of all levels through the netball pathway. 

If you are interested in taking part in an umpires or coaching clinic you can find information on the   Auckland Netball website


Future Ferns  Year 3 and 4  

- Games take place on Thursdays (5x5 format)

- 3 weeks of grading games  11, 18 & 25 May

- 10 weeks of skill sessions and games played across two thirds of a netball court 

   Starting 1st June

- Consists of 15 minute skill sessions followed by a game of 4x8 minute quarters

- 5 on a court at once, rolling subs and rotation of positions

- maximum of 7 players per team to allow for maximum opportunity 

- Games and skills sessions played Thursday afternoons 4.00pm | 4.55pm | 5.50pm

Year 3&4 - 5v5 Game Format and Information


Activities for Year 1-4:

These will be emailed to you a couple of days before each competition and there will also be a sheet available on the day with the weekly skills activity to do with your team.


          Future Ferns  Year 5 and 6  

           - Games take place on Wednesdays (6v6 format)

           - 3 weeks of grading games 15, 22 and 29 May

           - 10 competition games - 6 v 6 on a full netball court - Starting 5th June

           - 4 x 8 minute quarters

          - 2 x Attack, 2 x Defence, 2 x Centre positions 

           - 8 - 9 players per team

           - Rolling subs

           - Competition games Wednesday afternoons at any of these times 

             4.00pm | 4.55pm | 5.50pm

Warm up for Year 5&6 and 7&8:

Reminder that there is 15mins allocated to each team to warm up on your court before your game actually starts (4pm warm up, 4:15pm game). We will have the Netball Smart team assisting us over the season to promote good warmup and injury free Netball. Keep an eye out for their tips.
