About North End Rowing Club:

Located in the picturesque city of Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, the North End Rowing Club is a vibrant and inclusive community of rowing enthusiasts. Our club boasts excellent facilities, top-notch coaching, and a supportive environment for rowers of all levels.

Position Overview:

As a Rowing Coach, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our rowers. From beginners taking their first strokes to seasoned masters honing their technique, you'll be there every step of the way. Your passion for rowing and coaching will inspire our rowers to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

Coaching Excellence: Lead training sessions for rowers of varying skill levels, from novices to experienced masters. Provide personalized feedback and guidance to enhance their performance.

Program Development: Collaborate with the club committee to design and implement effective training programs. Foster a positive team culture and camaraderie.

Technical Expertise: Teach correct rowing techniques, boat handling, and race strategies. Help rowers improve their skills on and off the water.

Safety First: Prioritize safety during all training sessions and on-water activities. Ensure rowers are well-versed in water safety protocols.

Competition Preparation: Prepare rowers for regattas and competitions. Fine-tune their mental and physical readiness.

Qualifications:

Passion for Rowing: You live and breathe rowing. Whether you've competed at an elite level or have a deep love for the sport, your enthusiasm is contagious.

Coaching Experience: Previous coaching experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates with a genuine interest in coaching and a willingness to learn.

Communication Skills: Clear communication is essential. You'll work closely with rowers, parents, and fellow coaches.
