Rugby is a huge part of life at PNBHS. We have 20 teams that compete both in the local Manawatu competiton and the Super 8.

We have a proud rugby history and have produced recent All Blacks Jason Eaton and Aaron Cruden as well as many Super XV and professional players including Jason Emery, Rob Thompson, Ma'afu Fia, Jade Te Rure, Ngani Laumape Hadleigh Parkes, Dean Budd, Johnny Leota and Jamie Booth.

The Manawatu Turbos always boast a large contingent from Palmy Boys.

Palmy Boys has also produced NZ 7's players Antonio Kiri Kiri, Gillies Kaka, Jordan Bunce
