Production Saloons have been an active class at Huntly International for many years. Being an entry level class, utilising standard road cars, Production Saloons are an ideal way to get into the sport and have some fun. The class has enticed many drivers from all different walks of life, giving them an opportunity to create friendships and live out their racing dreams.  With an increasing real wheel drive presence, racing on the track is exciting for both those on the track and those in the crowd - giving everyone, real wheel or front wheel drive fans, something to cheer about. Close door to door racing, without making contact, is a high for any driver, no matter what place they are racing for.

The current group of drivers range from those who have been in the class for many years, to new drivers entering the sport, to those who have stepped up from Ministocks, or come back to the class after time in other classes.

2018-2019 season saw Huntly showing off 2NZ with driver Wayne Warrender taking on drivers from across the country in Gisborne.  Unfortunately, he was not able to back this up with a podium win the following season, on a challenging Cromwell track.

This year sees the last chance for any driver to compete at a National Title, with Production Saloons returning to being a regional class.  Huntly drivers will be aiming to be at the pointy end, with Whanganui holding the New Zealand's, Rotorua holding the North Island's and Huntly holding the Grand Prix.

If you have ever considered giving racing a go, come on down and talk to the drivers - male and female - and see how they can help you into hitting the dirt.

On the 18th July the W.S.S.C.C held the Annual Club Prizegiving. The Production Saloon results for the 2019 -20 season were as follows and congratulations to all. The upcoming season promises to be hotly contested for sure....
