Our Hockey Community

Rangitikei Hockey Association is a Youth Hockey Club offering hockey to primary and intermediate aged children throughout the Rangitikei Region. Teams come from a wide geographical area including Taihape, Hunterville, Marton, Bulls and Oroua.

We are very fortunate to be able to use four school turf for our weekly competitions -:

Feilding High School Turf on Friday nights for Kwik Sticks (Y7-8).

Rangitikei College Turf and Huntley School Turf on Friday nights for Kiwi Sticks (Y5-6).

Rangitikei College Turf on Saturday mornings for Mini Sticks (Y3-4).

Marton School Turf on Monday after school for Fun Sticks (Y0-2). 

Many parents of players are the team coaches and managers and they generously volunteer hours of their time to look after their teams. 

We have been fortunate in the past to have the support of high school students from Nga Tawa, Rangitikei College and Feilding High School to umpire many of the junior matches, along with older primary school students.

We have over many years also had the wonderful support from funders like the Lion Foundation and Pub Charity and many local businesses from within our communities. Their financial assistance has been very much appreciated.
