Orienteering 

Orienteering is a fun, challenging sport where school children use maps to complete navigational challenges in unfamiliar areas. Events take place around the North Shore at different schools Orienteering involves both physical and mental challenges and rewards competitors with a unique adventure on an ever changing playing field.  Orienteering can be undertaken as a fun way to get fit before the winter series sports begin, or competitively where you can represent the school at various events or as a personal challenge to better your times each week..

School orienteering, is experiencing a huge growth in popularity.  Driven by enthusiastic schools and teachers, it provides a fun and exciting competitive environment, offering children the ability to visit new areas and is so much more than just going for a run.
