St Mary's College is affiliated with The Wellington Rowing Club (WRC)Rowing is for those who like to be really fit and are prepared to attend all sessions regardless of the weather or hour of the day.

A squad cannot train without the whole team. Participants must be prepared to work at fitness all year round and if you become a senior rower, training for New Zealand championships is an intensive daily activity.

Rowing is not a recreational or social sport and it incurs considerable costs for travel and accommodation for training camps and regattas. Places are restricted and fees are paid directly to WRC.

Parental support is essential if a team is travelling under the St Mary's College banner.
