The Tinwald Rugby Football Club is one of the oldest clubs in Mid Canterbury and enters teams from Under 6 grades in the Mid Canterbury Rugby Union competitions. 

The Tinwald RFC has extensive fields on the Maronan-Tinwald Road and lounge facilities at the Tinwald Family Sports Centre.

Tinwald caters well for junior players and provides good quality training and fun social activities for all the family and community.
