Gail Seeley

My journey with horses started at 10 years old, going through the pony club system, gaining by full B certificate, represented the District and Area in Show jumping and regularly competed in 1.35cm classes. Later added eventing which became my passion for many years competing in horse trails/PC Open level.  I have been involved in almost every discipline in horsey life from hunting, starting young horses, Prepping TB race horses for sale or to race and for 10 years owning my own little pony stud (Welsh Stallion). For over 30 years I have enjoyed judging Dressage, Ribbon Days, A&P shows, Miniature Horse and In-hand Breed shows, a highlight was judging once at HOY.  I am also a NZPC B Certificate Examiner and Head Coach for Huapai PC. My passion now is coaching and giving back to other riders what I have learnt all these years in NZ, Australia and the UK.

Antoinette Tuffnell

Antoinette has been involved with horses all her life, starting off as an eventer and show jumper, a stint in racing and trekking, and (head) instructor at various pony clubs. Her preference is to work on the basics always focusing on the well-being of the horse and developing harmony between horse and rider. She is great at thinking ‘outside the box’ to try and solve problems riders may encounter. Her current passion is dressage coaching along French classic principles but she is also a deft hand at Pony Club style and jumping lessons.

Tracey Roff

Hi my name is Tracey Roff I am a qualified NZPCA C Level coach who has coached up to B certificate, currently Head Coach at Waimauku Pony Club.  I have been riding since I was 8 years old and attended Whenuapai Pony Club where I was an all round rider.  When I was 21 I was asked to coach the D certificate ride at Whenuapai Pony Club and so my coaching journey began. I was also in my 20's when I specialised in dressage.  Over the years I have trained with trainers Louisa Hill, Fiona Craig, Steve Brady, Phil Maddox  to name a few and currently with Greg Smith.  I have produced a number of young horses myself, currently a 4 year old warmblood pinto gelding called Scarpa who I am really enjoying working with.  The skills I have learnt at Pony Club and through coaching and riding myself have helped me with my own training and the training of others.  I am a firm believer in establishing the basics thoroughly at the pace the horse and rider feel comfortable with - safety first and if we ride well our horses go better. I'm looking forward to a fun-filled season at Waimauku Adult Ride.
