We are Wanderlust NZ, a small family independently owned, and Tauranga’s newest and only waterfront accommodation rated 5 star silver Qualmark in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, Tauranga.

There is private access for just your group only and it is separated from the rest of the building. You will have your own TV room, a large spacious and fully equipped kitchen and dining area with the best harbour views in town, bathrooms and unlimited FREE highspeed Wi-Fi!

The Group area, Moana Views, has two 12 bed dorms with amazing sea views and a 6 bed dorm with two large historic sash windows. More backpacker style rooms can be occupied from the main hostel area if your booking is larger than 30 people or if you are wanting some private rooms. Staying in our Tauranga hostel with us means you will have a carefree, fun, and easy, comfortable and stress-free stay!

We can assure you there is no place anywhere in Tauranga more suitable for your group than Wanderlust NZ. We offer the location, private facilities, high standard service, privacy, and views. This all on a budget! We will put together the best accommodation option for your school group and additional services if required. We can add additional continental breakfast to make your stay even more affordable and comfortable.
