2023 Junior Girls Inter-Provincial Team
Waikato Golf would like to openly acknowledge how proud we are of our 2023 Junior Girls Interprovincial Team, following what can only be described as an outstanding week down in Rotorua both on and off the course.
This is the first time in a number of Years that Waikato Golf have been able to field our own Team of Junior Girls players for this event and again you all did us proud!
On the course, we would have to believe that the performance/result against the Canterbury Team in Round 4 to finish with a 3/3 draw, must have been a highlight with Canterbury going on to eventually win the overall Tournament!
Thank you for wearing our Waikato Golf colours with such pride at the event and we understand that the comradery throughout the week, was also a highlight for all players/managers.

A HUGE thank you to Matt Schofield who at short notice agreed to be our Team Manager, with Matt commenting that he had a real fun week with the Team and that the Team will definitely grow with more time together in the future.

Team Manager: Waikato Golf are delighted to announce the appointment of Matt Schofield, NZPGA Coach, as the Team Manager for our 2024 Junior Girls Interprovincial Team to play in the upcoming event down in Rotorua, Monday 2nd through Friday 6th October.
Matt is well known to Waikato Golf having previously worked at Te Awamutu Golf Club as their Club Manager along with being a Coaching Professional.
Matt now resides in Rotorua and is well conversant with the Rotorua Golf Club Course and Facilities.

2019 Junior Girls Inter-Provincial Team
The 2019 Girls Junior Inter-Provincial Event will be played again at the Rotorua Golf Club on the 30th September -4th October.
2018 Junior Girls Inter-Provincial Team
The 2018 Girls Junior Inter-Provincial Event will be played again at the Rotorua Golf Club on the 8th-12th October.
A big thank you to all the Districts involved. The teams had another great year at the Junior Girls Interprovincial, some very trying conditions met the players during the final round but all the Girls managed to cope with it very well.
There was a playoff needed between Wellington and North Harbour as there Result was 3 all!
Darae Chung Wellington and Yeonsoo Son North Harbour both unbeaten all week played off down 18! Three times down 18 was needed to find out 2018 Winners North Harbour!!!

The Team of 6 girls will be slected to represent Waikato after the designated trial events have been completed. Waikato Golf wish all the Girls the best of luck with their golf this year and look forward to a selecting a strong team to compete in October.
