OPENING DAY 9 SEPTEMBER 2017

Wonderful weather, convivial crowd, venerable VIPs, great guests, fabulous food and brilliant bowls!

Attended by over 70 members, invited guests and David Ayers (Waimakariri Mayor) and his wife Marilyn, Lorraine McLeod (Bowls NZ), Mel Mather (CE Bowls Canterbury), Matt Doocey (MP), Na Katae (Bowls Canterbury Board), and our patron Jean Moody, it was a most memorable day.

Our membership rose to 101, we received our Bowls NZ Gold Award, John Taylor delivered the first bowl with such style and finesse and the standard of afternoon bowls was of course magnificent....

If the season mirrors Opening Day it is going to be a very successful one!
