YOGA / PILATES

Each term we will offer either yoga,  pilates or Stretch and Release classes.


What is Yoga?
Yoga is a physical, mental and emotional practice that originated in ancient India. The word yoga means“to unite”. Students will learn the foundations of yoga, bringing together body, mind and breath as a means of altering energy or shifting consciousness.  You’ll benefit from feeling long, strong, centred and calm.  All levels welcome from beginners to experts. 


What Is Pilates? Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility.

Term 1 2024   

When: Tuesdays 3:30pm - 4:15pm starting 13th February.

Where: Te Whare Rēhia 

Cost: ​​​​​​​$60  for 7 sessions. 

Students should wear comfortable sports clothing and bring a water bottle.  There are changing facilities at Te Whare Rēhia and a water fountain to fill your bottle.  

Students of all year levels can attend these sessions being run by a qualified instructor.  Beginners are welcome!
