Teams

Individuals

Request to Umpire at Test Match Thursday evening.

We have a shortage of qualified umpires for the test match. If you are qualified or if you are not qualified but available to umpire can you please contact the undersigned.

For individual finals I will contact players during the championships to check if they are available.

Any qualified umpires should bring their official uniform. Tie is optional. Anyone else prepared to umpire should be neatly dressed. If playing in a previous match I will accept tracksuit.

Thanking you in advance.

Ron Garrett (Referee) [email protected]

Player Schedules

  • Draws with knockouts will be included in player schedules and will also be published, allowing players to know what times they are likely to be playing. But, please note that the placement of links in these draws is not final, as rules of placement and separation can require changes before the Referee finalises draws for publication.

Pool Play

  • Please make sure that all players are available for the first match in any pool. An umpire will always be required to get the first match away on time.

Teams Pre-Toss

Pre-tossing sheets

We have introduced pre-tossing for teams matches.

  1. This will reduce number of team captains turning up for toss 45 minutes prior match
  2. With team members generally travelling together this means all players do not have to be early.
  3. There was also a concern with team captains still playing in a previous match.

We have the option of using “pre-tossing sheets’ which can be handed to the Referee or his Assistant any time before normal toss time.

A sheet can be submitted for individual team match or there is a separate sheet to apply for all matches for the team.

If only one captain attends a toss (and the other captain has lodged a pre-toss sheet), the captain present can call the toss. If the absent captain wins the toss, their preference for AB or XY will be used.  If neither captain is present the Referee will toss and use the two pre-toss sheets to determine the final team sheet.

If a captain needs to change a pre-toss sheet in an emergency (illness or injury) and the captain cannot be at venue before normal toss  time, then they can ring the Referee before normal toss time. Ron  Garrett 027 2019059.

The toss for Umpires for all matches will be done at table prior to the match.
