11 Oct. 2018. As many of you will know, Regenerate Christchurch has not included the proposed East Lake in its shortlisted options for the Otakaro Avon River Corridor Regeneration Area. This, despite overwhelming public support for the lake. Regenerate's reasons for rejecting the lake have been demonstrated to be wrong, yet still they aren't listening.

So the East Lake Trust is focusing on convincing Regenerate's stakeholders (CCC, ECan, Ngai Tahu, Otakaro, etc.) of the real facts.

Linked here is a letter from the East Lake Trust that puts the record straight about the Trust's vision, why the lake should be developed and answers all of Regenerate's arguments against the lake. Read it, digest it and pass it to everyone you know. Let's make this lake a reality!
