Some of our members may be aware that Marcus Playle is currently in the USA as part of the referee team for North America's professional competition, Major League Rugby. Marcus was presented with an opportunity to head over to MLR for a three month period and is based in Utah along with the other visiting international referees. He's refereed games as far afield as New Orleans, LA and Toronto and is now in San Diego ahead of this weekend's game between the San Diego Legion and Rugby ATL.

Marcus says that he's really enjoyed his time in the US so far and is grateful for the opportunity and support from NZR to get some overseas experience in preparation for his involvement in this year's national competitions. Marcus returns to NZ in early June and says that he's looking forward to pulling on the ARRA jersey once he's back in Auckland.
