Bay Olympic have appointed Paul Marshall to coach Bay Olympic Men’s Premier Team in the Northern Regional Football League for 2019.
Club Chairman Graham Leaming said the Club were targeting an immediate return to the Premier Division. “Paul has an excellent record as a coach at all levels of the game. We believe his proven record and passion will be a great match for our Club’s ambition. We want to be performing consistently at the top level to retain our best players and provide developing players with the best opportunities possible.”
Marshall has a very successful record as a coach having lead teams to National League and Northern League tiltes plus two Chatham Cup Final appearances. He has also had great success at secondary school level. Marshall said, “I am excited about joining Bay Olympic. It is excellent Club, steeped in history and success. The Club has great facilities for players, coaches and supporters. I am looking forward to talking to the current group of players and building a successful squad for next year and beyond.”
The New Lynn based Club was formed from the amalgamation of Blockhouse Bay and Green Bay in 1998 and has over 100 teams making it one of the largest in Auckland.
