Five matches to be played, Five Trophies to be won, and Five Champions are set to be revealed on Saturday, with the AFF Cup Finals set to take place at both McLennan Park and Anderson Park.
Ten teams will be seeking the chance implement their name in history with the AFF Women’s Knockout Cup, the AFF Counties Manukau Masters Knockout Cup, the AFF Northern Knockout Cup, the AFF O35s Knockout Cup and the AFF O35s Knockout Cup all up for grabs.
McLennan Park will play host to four cup finals over the weekend, while the final of the AFF O30s Knockout Cup will be held at Anderson Park.
In the AFF Women’s Knockout Cup, a big grudge match is set to take place, with both sides dominating their road to the final of the competition.
Central United began their cup campaign, slaughtering Pukekohe AFC by 15-0 and progressing to the next round of the competition.
The reigning AFF Women’s Knockout Cup Champions then took on Bucklands Beach AFC in their Quarter-Final match up and with a similar score line, the Geoff Brogan coached side progressed to the Semi-Finals of the tournament after claiming a 14-0 victory.
However, squaring up against Ellerslie’s Women’s Championship side, Ellerslie Rebels proved to be no easy task in the Semi-Final, but Central went on to claim victory with a 3-0 win.
Ellerslie AFC’s route was of similar destiny with the team in red thrashing Otahuhu United by 13-0 in Round 2 of the competition.
Their Quarter-Final match up saw them take on Women’s Championship side, Eastern Suburbs Lily Whites, with the Ryan Shiffman coached side progressing into the final four with a 3-0 victory.
Taking on Onehunga Mangere Scarlets in the Semi-Final, a strong performance left Ellerslie with a Cup Final spot after a strong 10-0 win over the Women’s Div 1 side.
With both sides playing each other in the 2018 footballing season of the AFF/NFF Women’s Conference league, neither side is yet to win against each other, with previous fixtures this year have ended in draws.
With a the cup at stake, bragging rights are also on the cards for this weekend's match up. The match is scheduled to kick off at 11am at McLennan Park.
In other competitions, AFF/NFF Men’s Conference side, Unimount Bohemian Celtic will take on Men’s Division 3 side, Eastern Suburbs Keat in the final of the Northern Knockout Cup.
With Keat looking to cause an upset against a strong looking Unimount side, the Lily Whites will be firing on all cylinders to ensure their name will be engraved on the Northern Knockout Cup Trophy.
The match will kick off at 3pm at McLennan Park.
In the AFF O35s Knockout Cup Final, Western Springs AFC Go Feet will square up against Lynn-Avon United AFC, with both teams looking to stamp their mark in history.
Western Springs Go Feet enjoyed a solid 5-0 win over Onenhunga Mangere United Hustlers in the Semi-Final of the competition.
Lynn-Avon on the other hand were pushed right to the final whistle by Fencibles United Bell, with penalties becoming the deciding factor.
Lynn-Avon ended up winning the shoot-out to progress to the final of the competition.
The match will kick off at 3pm at McLennan Park.
In the AFF Counties Manukau Masters Knockout Cup, Drury United Dynamos and South Auckland Rangers Labasa will go head-to-head in the final at McLennan Park at 3pm.
Both sides enjoyed good runs leading up to the final, with a South Auckland Rangers derby taking place in the Semi-Final of the competition. In the end, SAR Labasa played out a dominating display, thrashing SAR Rongomai Rangers by 5-0.
In the other Semi-Final, Drury United Dynamos defeated Beachlands Maraetai Legionnaires by 2-0 to earn their place in this weekend’s cup final.
Lastly, in the O30s Knockout Cup Final, Lynn-Avon United will take on Mt Albert-Ponsonby Lizard Kings at Anderson Park at 3pm.
Earning their places in the final, both sides were put to the test in their Semi-Final matches, with MAP Lizard Kings defeating Fencibles United New Asian by 3-2 and Lynn Avon holding Bay Olympic Originals to a 1-0 victory.
