Goalkeeper, Rivalina (Riva) Fuimaono has been involved with the Women’s Futsal Superleague team for the past few years and has made her mark on the international stage, taking part in numerous international tournaments.
As a footballer, the keeper has played for Three Kings United the past couple of seasons in the Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier Division and was part of the squad that took out the league title in 2017.
Heading into 2019 and the keeper has high ambitions, looking to achieve back-to-back championships in the Women’s Superleague.
Here are five facts to know about AFF goalkeeper, Rivalina Fuimaono.
Fuimaono used to be a forward in football
As a youngster, Fuimaono began playing football as a forward, but as she says, the glorified position didn’t last long and each year “I worked my way back to playing goal keeper.”
The LOTR Trilogy and the Harry Potter series are movies Fuimaono is yet to see
The LOTR trilogy and the Harry Potter series are some of the world’s most famous line of movies. Lord of the Rings played a big part in putting the country on the map. Anyway, Fuimaono hasn’t watched any of the LOTR films or any Harry Potter films past the Chamber of Secrets because “I got scared!”

At the age of 12, Fuimaono met a lot of the AFF Women's Futsal Superleague players at regional tournaments and football training camps. Since becoming involved in Futsal, Fuimaono has met some great people in her life, but her Futsal family is one to cherish.
First to flinch at startling flying objects
As a goal keeper, you would think Fuimaono is used to having things thrown at her at a powerful rate. However, the goal keeper admitted that when she’s not alerted, she’s the first to “Duck and Scream” when a ball is launched at her.

There’s no secret that chocolate is loved by many people all around the world. There’s also a huge number of people who love gummy lollies, but in Fuimaono’s case, Gummy Lollies is where it’s at!
