NZF: What club did you first play for? What other clubs/federations in NZ have you played for?

ST: First club = Clendon United AFC, then Three Kings United then Glenfield Rovers and Papakura City FC. Federations = Auckland then Northern then Auckland.

NZF: How does it feel knowing you are representing not only your Nation on the worlds stage, but also your local region & club?

ST: It feels incredibly motivating and inspiring to know that. It's something you dream about as a kid and to have this opportunity be here, is extremely humbling.

NZF: What are you earliest / best memories of playing local club football?

ST: Playing in and amongst all the boys as a youth player and really thriving in that competitive environment.

NZF: Do you still keep in touch with your childhood coaches / teammates? What do they make of your journey as a player?

ST: Not as much as I would like to. I have gone back to my first club a few times to speak at prize giving. Not many of the coaches are still around and have moved on to do their own things. A few coaches have made contact over the years which has been lovely. They are very proud to know me and have helped with my youth development.

NZF: Who has been your biggest inspiration on your Journey and why?

ST: Biggest inspiration is my family. They are my biggest support crew and their enjoyment and passion they share for my football journey is incredibly motivating.
