Have you met Sarah yet??

Sarah Morton is not only a Football Fern, but also a right back who plays for AFF.

Sarah was part of the Football Ferns 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup squad and has made six appearances for the Senior team, finding the back of the net on one occasion – We found this info on Wikipedia in case you wanted to know.

In her second season playing for AFF in the National Women’s League, Sarah has sent the AFF Media team five facts about herself.

So, here are five things to know about AFF’s Sarah Morton.

Seaweed Phobia

We’re wanting to know what the original encounter between Sarah and seaweed was like.

Did she stumble upon it once at the beach?

Did the seaweed jump on her back and chase her down the coast?

It could’ve been that Sarah fell into a crevice and she was trapped in a cave for an hour or two with a piece of seaweed?

We’re not quite sure, but Sarah admits that she’s got a Phobia of Seaweed.

Peanut Butter and CookieTime Cookies

We all have our favourite food and for Sarah she loves Peanut Butter, but also Cookie Time Cookies.

A smart lady once asked the AFF Media Team, “Why not both?”

So, we’re going to ask the same question, Why not both, Sarah?

Full Marathon Completed with no Training

Okay, so this next one we’re slightly confused about.

One member of the AFF media team did no training for about 2 months and then tried to play 7-aside football. They didn’t even last 3 minutes.

But Sarah Morton managed to complete a full marathon with no training!

That’s got to be worth a medal, well done Sarah!

Sarah’s Hobbies

In her spare time when she’s not playing football, Sarah likes to chill out do some cooking, reading and knitting.

We already know Sarah will be cooking Cookies and Peanut Butter, but we’ll ask Sarah later on what her favourite book is.

But Knitting though? - That's pretty cool!

Sarah has played the guitar since she was eleven

We’ve all got hidden talents, but for Sarah, she’s played the guitar since she was eleven years old.

We would like to know what songs Sarah can play.

AFF take on the Canterbury United Pride at Kiwitea Street tomorrow!

Kickoff is at 1:30pm!

Are you there?
