The Badminton New Zealand Junior Performance Programme is led by our Performance Manager and National Coach Rikke Olsen Siegemund and managed by our Development Manager Donna Trow. Please note that no changes to the Badminton New Zealand National or Development Squads are included as these programmes are still in their first year of delivery.
We are very excited to be working with this fantastic group of coaches who have volunteered their time to support our growing performance programme. There are a range of Associations represented and we also greatly appreciate their ongoing support to ensure we can provide the best coaching possible to our junior players who have been selected for national squads.
Each junior age group national squad is made up of a group of three coaches that will also access support from National Coach Rikke Olsen Siegemund and Development Manager Donna Trow. NZ Performance Programme Support Coaches will support the junior squads by contributing to specific camps with a focus on the NZU15 programme.
The vision of the Badminton New Zealand performance programme is to empower and support inspiring performances by New Zealand players in international badminton events that matter. This is further defined as:
