Mel Young Easter Classic Teams
Basketball Hawke's Bay is proud to announce the Development and Representative Teams that will be attending the Mel Young Easter Classic in Tauranga.
Our U11 & U13 Development Programme athletes have been working hard once per week with Hawke's Bay Coaches focussing on confidence building, skill development, participation and enjoyment. Training once per week ensuring these very young athletes have the time to play other sports; focus on their family, friends, school; and enjoy being a kid!
These players now have the opportunity to experience basketball outside of Hawke's Bay as all players at this age group must play in both halves of every game; and create some awesome bonds with the Hawke's Bay basketball family as we take U11-U19 teams away together to Tauranga.
Our U15, U17 and U19 Represetantive Teams have been training hard twice per week with Hawke's Bay Coaches since the first week of March. These players now have the opportunity to experience basketball outside of Hawke's Bay in preparation for the Central Zone Qualifying Tournament and in anticipation for potentially qualifying for the Basektabll New Zealand Aon National Championships held later in the year.
The Mel Young Easter Classic is a great opportunity for teams to see where they are at early in their journey towards their pinnacle tournaments; and create some awesome bonds with the Hawke's Bay basketball family as we take U11-U19 teams away together to Tauranga.

Term 2 of Her Time Hoops is just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited!
A huge thank you to all our families for making Term 1 such a positive, inspiring experience. Watching the girls grow in confidence, teamwork, and love for the game has been amazing! Every high-five, laugh, and breakthrough moment reminded us why we do this
.Now it’s time to get ready for Term 2! Registrations are open! and we’re working on dates and times that will give every girl the chance to keep developing her skills, friendships, and resilience. Whether she’s new to hoops or returning for another term, we can’t wait to see her back on the court, reaching new goals and creating more memories
