WELCOME

Welcome to Bombay Netball Club. We welcome players, coaches and managers of all ages and skill to be part of our club. Our aim is to grow and develop skills, encourage healthy competition all while having a bunch of fun in a supportive environment.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT 2025

2025 has been an outstanding season of growth for Bombay, with 16 teams competing across all levels. We also have 3 Future Ferns teams that started their season this week. Our Ladies teams proved even more popular this year with a Ladies muster held for the first time. The ‘social’ element of these ladies teams quickly developed into competitive play for a lot of the players. We also welcomed a top senior team- Bombay One that also went through an additional call back process at trials. This team made premier grade which is exciting for Bombay’s future and will be further developed on in 2026.

Bombay players and teams shone throughout the season with some stunning performances out on the courts. We had an impressive 15 teams make it into Semi-final playoffs and 8 teams play in the finals including in all 4 College grades which is outstanding. Bombay One were runners up of A Grade, Bombay Blades runners up in Collegiate A, Bombay Bullets runners up in Collegiate C, Bombay Baddies runners up in Collegiate D, Bombay Blitz runners up in Grade 1. 3 teams took out the top spots – Bombay Bombabes winning C Grade, Bombay Stars winning Collegiate B Grade and Bombay Hornets winning Grade 4. Alongside our players we had an impressive supporters group turnout for Finals with Bombay banners seen everywhere. This was a real proud moment for our club and was impressive to see everyone supporting our girls.

We had 4 of our Bombay players selected for Pukekohe representative teams – Haedyn Dalgety and Kyla Burger for u16’s and Lila Dwane and Brodie McRobbie for u14’s. Our top Intermediate team, Bombay Blitz was also invited to play in a representative tournament as they were identified as future talent.

Again this year we were blessed with local support from Autobahn Bombay and Bakers Delight Pukekohe who supplied our player of the day awards. We were also hugely spoilt by Harleh Laser Clinic and Streetwise Coffee Cart who provided vouchers for our Coaches and Managers at Prizegiving.

As always there has been a massive amount of activities and work behind the scenes throughout the year. This year we have tried to introduce new initiatives and support to make our club a growing and supportive environment. We have some remarkable volunteers that have helped make that happen. Thanks to all our committee members, coaches, managers and umpires. You have given your time and energy to give our members a great season and made it another successful year for Bombay Netball Club.

In my second year as President I am hugely proud and received some great feedback throughout the season about our players, umpires and the club in general. We have had some learns and new initiatives present themselves this year and these has been embraced as opportunities to further improve our Club. I am thankful for the committee and Exec for your support and hard work to make this happen.

I want to thank those that have decided to step down from roles and am excited to welcome those considering being involved for the 2026 season. I see such passion and genuine care in our club so I’m sure with us all working together we can continue to create a positive netball experience for all our members.
