When do entries close?
Normal entries close Sunday 2 October 2022. After that date a late fee applies.

What does my entry money pay for?
There are lots of things involved in organising this event - from entry forms and advertising to traffic management and race numbers

What about Covid-19?
If the event is cancelled due to Covid-19, we will automatically transfer your entry to next year. There is no postponement date.


Can I get a refund if I decide to pull out, or if I get injured, or if I make up a very sad story?
Sorry, no.

Can I give my entry to someone else?
Sorry, no.

Will there be somewhere to leave my gear?
We will have a bag-drop point in one of the high school classrooms next to registration.

Is the course accurately measured?
The course has been measured to Athletics NZ standards, 21097.5m for the half and 10000m for the 10k, and 5000m for the 5k.

What if I enter the 10km and then decide to do the half marathon?

What if I enter the half marathon then decide to only do the 10km?
As above.

What if I enter the run and need to walk?
No worries, so long as you finish by the cut-off times (see rules and information).

What if I start with the walkers and end up running?
If you are going to walk/run any event, please start with the runners.

Is there first aid assistance on the day?
There will be first aid kits available around the course and at the start/finish line. Police and St John have been notified the event is taking place

What happens if I need to stop or need help during the course?
Please speak to a marshall on the course who will contact the appropriate person.

Will there be any toilets?
There are ample toilets at the Start/Finish area within Cambridge High School. There will also be a single portaloo near the Aspin Road/Fencourt Road intersection.

What powers does the course referee hold?
The race referee can disqualify anyone seen disobeying course rules - eg running outside road cones.

Will somebody be taking photos at the finish line?
Yes. Marathon-Photos.com will be taking photos this year.

Is there food and drink to buy after the race?
Yes there will be coffee and hot food.

Can I have my supporters ride bikes alongside me?
Sorry in the interests of other competitors safety, no. There are plenty of vantage points around the course and all are fairly close to Cambridge High should you wish to go out and support a competitor.

Do I have to be present for prize giving?
We are hoping to have a small number of valuable spot prizes available. If you are not present, the prize will be re-drawn.
