Juniors
Tiny Tots & Grades 5 & 6 – no uniform required but must wear age flash pinned onto shirt unless going to Ribbon Days the a full uniform is required.
Grade 7 & over - Full club uniform must be worn on every club night. Age flash must be sewn on top left of singlet.
Code of Conduct
All athletes, parents and supporters agree to:
• Co-operate with coaches, officials and other athletes and treat them with respect
• Develop athletic skills and take pride in effort and personal achievements
• Encourage other competitors and praise effort and achievement
• Play fair and abide by all club rules and rules of competition
• Listen carefully and follow instructions
• Assist and help, where possible, in the running of the club to maximize opportunities for all athletes.
• Encourage participation at all levels
• Promote and support the club.

Crouch starts: All athletes 7 years and over are required to use a crouch start for all events up to and including the 400m.
Starting Blocks: The use of starting blocks is compulsory for all athletes wearing spiked running shoes. The use of starting blocks is compulsory for all athletes grade 12 and over in all events up to and including the 400m.
Spikes: Spikes are optional for athletes Grade 10 and over. They must be removed between events to reduce the risk of injury to wearer and others.
Starting Procedures: NZ Children’s athletics have agreed to adopt the no false start rule imposed by the IAAF from 1 October 2009. This means that athletes who false start will be disqualified from the event.
