Congratulations to Finn Butcher on claiming his second Extreme Slalom podium finish at the ICF World Championships in the early hours of this morning.

There were some epic battles in both the women's and men's races with four NZ athletes in action in the last event of the World Champs.

"The final race actually was my best race" said Butcher, "The two rounds before I was getting smashed in the first upstream - quarter finals I had to do it twice as I got messed up before. Semis was a fight as well, but so happy to have stuck in the fight and not given up! Final was epic, really happy to end the season on a high".
