Welcome to Cardinal McKeefry School winter netball!

Our school takes part in the Wellington West Netball (WWN) competition with other schools from around the Western zone area.


Boys and girls can play netball at CMcK.  The netball programme is run by parents who volunteer their time to manage and coach our teams.

Years 1-6 play in the futureFerns programme with a modified format to the 7-aside game. 


  • Years 1-2 play 4-aside netball
  • Years 3-4 play 5-aside netball
  • Years 5-6 play 6-aside netball
  • Years 7-8 play 7-aside netball


Years 3-8 play competitively on a Saturday in the WWN competition at Cardinal McKeefry School


The 2024 season dates are:​​​​​​​

Round 1: 

Saturday 4th May: Season starts for year 5 & Year 5/6 

Saturday 4th May & 11th May: Grading Games for Year 6 and 7/8.

Saturday 18th May: Year 3/4, Year 6 and year 7/8 Season starts


Last game of round 1 is 6th July ( First weekend of School Holidays)


No game 1st of June Monarchs Birthday


Round 2:

Saturday 27th July - 31st August ( No Rain Day)​​​​​​​

8:30am Year 7/8 Div 1.    9:20am Year 7/8 Div2.   10:10am Year 7/8 Div 3

11am Year 6.     11:45am Year 5/6.    12:30pm Year 5.   1:15pm Year 4 

1:45pm Year 3 


Year 1 & 2 Fun Festival Day will be 10th August and 17th August

( August 24th set as fun festival rain day)


Each school is allocated 'duty' days during the season games in which parents help with court set up and time keeping.  Cardinal McKeefry 29th June
