We are the Celebration Lions Rugby League Club, based on the Eastside of Christchurch. In 1996 our Celebration Church established a Rugby League team, with the prime focus on playing the game we love, whilst creating a whanau orientated club within the community. For the first few years we predominantly played games against local gangs, where we would host them and their whanau after the games, for fellowship and kai.  In 2004 we achieved our ultimate goal and became the first Church based Rugby League Club to be entered into the local Rugby League Competition here in Canterbury. Our Junior Club teams range from nurseries (5yrs) to our youth (16yrs).

Our Club's passion is to mentor and support our young players as they play league. For their, Taha Tinana, Taha Wairua, Taha Whanau and Taha Hinengaro.
