Central Football are delighted to announce that they have formally agreed to partner with Hawkes Bay Futsal and Palmerston North Marist to manage the Central Football Youth Futsal teams for 2024. This agreement will see HB Futsal and Palmerston North Marist take full operational control over the teams, with support from Central Football, that will participate in the Youth Futsal Competition in late 2024.  

Both entities will hold trials to select sides. Players from all regions across our Federation that would like to put their name forward are able to do so.

Central Football Community Engagement Manager Shane McKenzie is excited for the opportunities this will create for players within our Federation; “This is another exciting partnership, again linking with clubs to provide opportunities across our Federation. The partnership with HB Futsal and Palmerston North Marist sees an opportunity for twelve teams (two from each age group) to represent the Federation (under the HB Futsal and PN Marist banners) and compete at the Nationals instead of the six sent to previous events. The two clubs have National experience with the Futsal Super League, run their own Futsal programs and events. Both entities are extremely passionate about the sport and we’re confident all those selected to travel to Wellington will have a great experience.”

The Youth Futsal Championships will take place at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Kilbirnie, Wellington from Saturday, December 7th to Tuesday, December 10th, 2024. This event is the national tournament for our region's best youth Futsal players to compete against other players from around New Zealand.
