Ned Wanoa Papakura Junior

Ned has been an outstanding supporter of not only the Papakura Junior Club but also Junior Badminton, including Secondary School competitions, and school holiday programs and Junior Summer Club. His support commitment and enthusiasm to provide an environment that encourage participation for many players at all levels has been great for badminton. Ned also has hugely helped our club and has always made himself available for my many queries for the past few years. Through his support we have been able to grow badminton participation in the junior clubs at all levels.
2. Carolyn Ann Churches for outstanding achievement :
Nina has taken on the secretary role for the junior committee, manager of a junior rep team, and was a huge part of the success of the Junior Palmerston North National competition. She was instrumental in the nomination of the U15 team for the Papakura Sports Award that they went on to win. The work she has done and hopefully moving forward the work she will do is going to be key to bringing CMBA to a stronger position.
3.CMBA Senior Outstanding Performance/s of the year – this award aims to recognize the achievement/s of the top player, pairing or team who by his/her/their performance, service and example has performed to an elite level and expressed the ideals of true sportsmanship.
Donna Haliday Management committee

Donna has been outstanding in her commitment to the association this year, alongside raising two young children, spending quite large amounts of time with her husband away she works hard in the coaching field, as a selector for the senior trials, and coach for the u19 team. With all this going on she also represented CMBA in both a senior and masters rep team going on to win her badminton competitions and along with her team getting the masters team promoted.
4.CMBA Team of the Year – This award aims to recognise any age group, club, school or representative team from within New Zealand, which has performed to an elite level and expressed the ideals of true sportsmanship.
U15 Team 1 Junior committee

For a new group of players coming together and getting the results that they have in derby competitions and at Palmerston North, they have done CMBA proud. They have gone on to win the Papakura Sports Junior Team award because of their commitment to training and developing themselves as a team.
Masters Div 2 team_______________________Management committee

Masters div 2 team have won all of their games this season with several players not losing a game all season. As a result they have been promoted for 2017.
5.CMBA Coach of the Year – This award aims to recognise outstanding contributions and achievements by a non paid coach (age group, club, school or representative) during the qualifying period.

Donna has picked up the role of coach convenor this year and turned the program around into a full group of players that are showing enthusiasm for badminton
6.CMBA Court Official of the Year – This award aims to recognise outstanding contributions by a court official within an Association during the qualifying period.
Lin Mansell Management Committee

Lin has organized and run the junior interclub competition successfully, this at times has been a challenge, but she is always organized and able to cope with changes as necessary. She has also gone on to develop the Year 7&8 badminton which had record entries this year. As the official of these two competitions she has adapted and organized herself with great success.
7. CMBA Administrator of the Year – This award aims to recognise outstanding contributions by an administrator within an Association during the qualifying period. Paid employees of the Association are ineligible for this award.
Rick Reid Management committee

Rick has worked for many years virtually on his own to get SEWC to the success it is now. He is one of the few who gets his paper work in on time and helped the office by working our his payments long before the account has been created.
Padma has not only fully supported her husband in the work he has done but also quietly worked away at several other tasks to support the association. She has helped in the canteen, helped with organising competitions and helped with the treasurer when he has been away. Her efficiency has been a great asset to the association.
