This newsletter covers the following;
1. July Seminar & Grading - 28 July 2022 We are very fortunate to have Mr Darren Ward 6th Degree conduct a special Grading & Seminar during this Thursday's Senior Class. The Class starts as usual at 6:30pm and will run thru to 8pm. The Grading aspect is by invitation only and is targeting those Students competing at the National Tournament in August AND those that have been attending the Nationals Trainings. Those that are Grading have already been told and it's important that the Grading Fees are paid before Thursday so these can be processed and paid to the National Body on Friday. Any questions, please see Mr Lourantos as soon as Possible. During the Seminar, Mr Ward will focus on the Grading Syllabus including 3, 2 and 1 Step Sparring as well as key aspects of Patterns and Self Defense. Do not miss this Seminar! 2. August Miramar Club Grading The Grading date is currently set for the Thursday 11th July but may be pushed out to the week after Nationals to allow for additional preparation. Details will be confirmed during class over the next week. 4. ITKD National Tournament - Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st August Wellington will be hosting this premier event on the ITKD calendar on the weekend of 20-21 August 2022 at the Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua. Join and keep an eye out on the Wellington Facebook Page for the latest of news on the tournament and other events and notices - https://www.facebook.com/groups/WellingtonITF Here are the Training Details Sessions will be held at the Johnsonville Salvation Army hall on Johnsonville Road. The sessions will be 3 hours to accommodate all events. Please bring your sparring gear or see Mr Lourantos to borrow the club gear. Sundays 31 July/07 August/14 August 1:30- 4:50pm Please note the earlier start time. We ask that for the last three weeks we have Team members only at training. We also ask that all ranks blue stripe and below finish at 3:30. The exceptions are those Juniors who travel with Seniors, and on the 31st, anyone requiring selection for their places. Selection may run over into the last hour. 5. New Yellow and Green Stripe Syllabus Books These have just been released and are awesome. The Club has purchased a small number of these so they are immediately available. Get yours at training directly from Mr Lourantos. 6. Move to Xero Accounting and Change of Bank Account The club has moved to Xero and the new bank account has been largely gone smoothly. However there are still a small number of students fees paid into the old account. Please check and change your automatic payments to reflect the new account below. Please make all monthly training fee payments and other deposits to our new bank account; Eastern Martial Arts Ltd, t/a Miramar Taekwon-Do Club Please adjust your monthly training auto-payments and account details accordingly.
