NEWSLETTER MAY 2023 May 2023 - WOW - One third of 2023 is already in the history books. They say time flies when you are having fun, I didn't think we were having THAT much fun! Anyway, May has arrived and so are the fast approaching winter months. Time to get those winter woolies out of mothballs and wrap up warm and stay dry. The Clubrooms is a warm and dry place to be, and although it is in “winter” hours, the Bar staff would love to see you and serve you a drink or two, especially on Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Whilst writing about Fridays, the membership draw is now up to $450 this coming Friday May 5th. Time to don those winter clothes, get yourself to the club, grab a drink and a bite to eat from the Bistro Dugout whilst awaiting the 7.30pm draw. $450 could be yours if you are present. Several Ramblers players will be travelling overseas to play in the Northern Hemisphere softball season, Hopefully will receive reports from the players so can create an update on Facebook or in the June newsletter under a new section - NEWS FROM ABROAD. |

Well done to the “Party of 7” who travelled to Argentina to support the Major Sox. I'm sure plenty of celebrating was had by this group, although they look pretty subdued in photo number 1 then “raging” in the bottom photo. The team would have appreciated your dedication and support. Thank you. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Next team to travel away to represent the country will be the White Sox featuring our own Ramblers players Katrina Nukunuku and Brooke Whiteman. They will fly to Italy in July to play warm-up games before playing Japan, Italy, Argentina, Phillipines and Canada in the Group C Qualifying round of the World Championships. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The 21U team will travel to North America in August to compete in the U21 ISC tournament followed by being invited as the Wild Card into the ISC tournament. Watch for team details as they become available. |
