From the CommodoreGeneral Meeting Reminder for vacant committee positions. Nominations close @1500hrs on 1st November 2024. We are now looking for nominations for Secretary, Treasurer, Rear Commodore (house), and 2 x General committee members. So if you think you can help out and be active in the committee, then get your form filled out and into the office. The new committee has elected to proceed with the addition of new pontoons for the northern side of the trailer boat ramp to give us 2 launching lanes. This will start with 3 new poles being installed, and then we will hope to get sponsors to assist with the $30k for the pontoons. Watch the club notice boards for plans and updates. Very happy to discuss any items personally with anyone at their leisure. Safe Boating |

From the Mana Marina TeamTo all Marina users, We wish to provide you with advanced notice of a temporary closure of the Marina entrance. The entrance will be closed this Friday November 1st from 10.00am until 17.00pm. And Saturday November 2nd from 10.45am until 17.30pm. The purpose of the closure is for “jetting” which is a dredging practice to remove the sand build up at the entrance. Following this initial flush, we are planning a dredging system to maintain the depth as much as practically possible in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your boating plans but we are confident that this will give some draft relief as we approach the summer boating season. Kind regards, Mana Marina Team and the Mana Cruising Club. |

SABRE 20The club has received a letter from Steven Burridge who has owned a Sabre 20 for over 20 years with the last 5 being on a mooring in Ivy Bay. Unfortunately he is not going to sail it so would like to give it to a “keen young sailor” that will clean it up and use it. Any members interested can contact him on 0274-785212. Happy Sailing! |
